Every year, Ghallughara Day carries deep pain, grief and memory for the Sikh community. Today’s commemoration at Sri Akal Takht Sahib was observed peacefully, with dignity and religious maryada. The appeal by the Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib (@J_SriAkalTakht ) for peaceful remembrance was important. At the same time, this day also remains a serious challenge for the admin and security forces, especially Punjab Police. Their responsibility is not easy. They have to maintain peace while also respecting the emotions, pain and religious sentiments attached to this day. In the past, we have seen that even a small incident outside Sri Harmandir Sahib has often been used by sections of national and international media to paint Punjab in a negative light. But when the commemoration passes peacefully, the story quietly disappears from the media space. There is no fuel for those who want to show Punjab only through the lens of disturbance. That is why today’s peaceful observance deserves appreciation. The @SGPCAmritsar administration, Punjab Police, civil administration, religious leadership and sangat all played their role in ensuring that the remembrance was conducted with discipline, dignity and peace. Pain should never be forgotten. History should never be erased. But remembrance with maryada, ardas and peace gives strength to the community and dignity to the memory of those we remember. May Punjab always remain peaceful. May wisdom, restraint and compassion guide us all. #OperationBlueStar

From 2002-2007 congress in punjab and 2004-2009 congress. 2007-2017 Akali BJP and centre had again from 2014- 2019 BJP govt. So punjab already had the same centre- state govts earlier too.

Nobody is defending the “Hindu nation” remark. People can disagree with that statement without turning every disagreement into “aatanki” accusations. The point remains simple: exam scheduling issues have affected festivals of multiple communities over the years. Criticize the university if you want, but communalizing every administrative issue only creates more hostility than solutions. Btw, don’t take me lightly either. If you can question administrative decisions, others also have the right to question your language and narrative. Disagreement does not make someone anti-national. So mind your words, stay civil, and focus on the actual issue instead of throwing labels around.
