Those are starters. All in the process. As I tell my stupid brother, this shit doesn’t happen overnight. Diplomacy takes time and skill.

This whole concept is very troubling for me and should be for all Canadians. It's not that a sovereign wealth fund is not a good idea. It's actually a very good idea. The problem is that this isn't a sovereign wealth fund. Those are funded by surplus usually from natural resource extraction. Norway has one, and Alberta has one. Mark Carney is very smart and he knows exactly what he's doing. That's why I find this troubling. He's willfully misrepresenting what he's proposing. I expect more from a former central banker.

You can't blame the UAE for not wanting to be part of an organization that includes a member state currently launching missiles and drones at them.

@Cateran1954 @UnitedCanucks26 @MarkJCarney I will say, the damage Carney is doing to Canadian/US relations is wrong. Trump is only going to be in office a few more years but economically, either Republicans or Democrats, the damage will last decades. The scary thing: Carney knows this.
