Self interest is a shared experience across all life, but just humans. It's fundamental to survival. Without interest in the self, you die. Basic realities about human existence must be recognized for effective organization. This is WHY democracy trumps other power structures.

I have just listened to a TV interview with the director of al-Shifa Hospital, Dr. Mohammad Abu Silmiya. He said that Israel returned the bodies of 54 Palestinians yesterday without any form of identification. Many of the bodies were missing body parts, and some showed signs of torture. Several corpses also showed fractures in the legs consistent with gunshot wounds. In addition, 66 boxes containing skulls and other bones were returned. None were labeled with names. Only numbers.

I am a Christian from the Holy Land. I studied Christian theology in Bethlehem and served at a local church for over 7 years. I was beaten by the Israeli military, denied access to Christian holy sites, and separated from my family in Gaza for years. These policies are driving Christians out. Me: "You can see all my income." Agent: "Yes." Me: "From the 1099s and W2s?!” Agent: "Right." Me: "So you have a complete record of my income." Agent: "Yes." Me: "And you knew about this 1099 because it's on that transcript." Agent: "Yes." Me: "So why does anyone file a return? Couldn't you just... look at the transcript and know what someone owes?" Today, Israel released a load consisting of 66 bags of human organs and 55 Palestinian bodies, outside of any deal or exchange. Upon opening a sample of these bags, the following was revealed: • The bags contained skulls, bones, and decomposed remains; some appeared to have been exhumed from old graves. • Among the remains were the bodies of several women, two recently martyred individuals whose features remain clear, and the body of a boy no older than fourteen. • Some bags contained mixed organs belonging to different bodies. • Some skulls bore marks of incisions made with medical instruments, and some bodies showed signs of surgical procedures with traces of surgical tools.
