Supreme Court Advocate @hsphoolka has raised serious questions over the recent encounter in Gurdaspur. Phoolka said that even if the police version of events is accepted, it reflects a major lapse and negligence by the police and security agencies. He questioned how Pakistan’s ISI could allegedly penetrate so deeply without being detected, and asked what the police and security agencies were doing to prevent such threats. He also questioned the procedure followed during the operation, asking why recovery was being conducted at midnight and why the Intelligence Bureau was not involved. Phoolka further said that if the alleged mastermind Ranjit was killed in the encounter, it would become difficult to uncover the larger conspiracy and identify others involved. He expressed concern that the police narrative suggests an attempt to shield certain individuals who may have influential political connections. Phoolka emphasized that as per Indian law, an accused must be produced before a court. He cited the example of Ajmal Kasab, who was presented before the court despite being responsible for the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks. He warned that such actions create the impression of a “police state” and stressed that Punjab is a sensitive border state. He cautioned that the government must act responsibly and warned that Punjab is a highly sensitive border state, and by failing to recognize its seriousness, the government is effectively playing with fire.

Sajjan Kumar has applied for bail- listed tomorrow, 28th Jan before Delhi High Court. He is undergoing Life Imprisonment and is in Jail since last 7 years. In this case of Saraswati Vihar police station, he is awarded double life imprisonment by Session Judge Kaveri Baweja.

In this case, a minor named Gurcharan Singh was thrown into his father's truck and it was set on fire. He stayed bedridden for 24 years with half burned body and died in 2008. He also gave a statement to the CBI of having witnessed Sajjan Kumar leading the mob, but since the CBI was investigating another case, they did not consider his statement... Another witness also demanded justice door-to-door but finally when the case was reopened in 2015, he died before he could give a statement. The Congress has always conspired to delay the case so that the witnesses die themselves and the accused are saved... 5 people still identified and gave statements against Sajjan Kumar... We are going to appeal to the High Court..."

#SajjanKumar is undergoing 3 Life Imprisonments and is in Jail since last 7 years. In 4th case of S. 307, attempt to murder, he is acquitted. Complaint of this case Harvinder Singh Kohli, who was main witness, died before giving evidence in Court. 5 other witnesses appeared in Court. We will file appeal.
