Baffled by people who liked the question asked today in Toronto, that are encouraging it or calling “real journalism.” Seriously? What are you guys talking about?

@dean_burner Mostly it's the envy, which they would never admit safe for a few non trolls, and die hards. I can admit I wanted the Habs to be them 10 years ago, or something similar, but I knew the Habs time would come. Now it was worth the wait.

Crosby could join his childhood team, the youngest team in the league, and instantly turn the Canadiens into Cup contenders. Should this happen?

This was our big moves first 2 trade deadlines and we also signed Marleau July 1st in this window. Habs spent future assets to get a top pair D in his prime and signed him 8 years. Our trade deadlines and overall direction were horrible.

@canucksingh_ @barn_burner19 With the Habs rebuild there was some long rough years, I must admit. Like season over in October rough. To endure that, and to see my team in this position was well worth it. But with that being said, I always looked forward to the draft, it represented hope going forward.

@grantmccagg The one thing I got from this is the development group. I feel if Scherbak had the same group, he would have excelled. I think Zharovsky has a great opportunity to develop into a good to great NHLer. But it's up to him to put in the work.

Folks - I am not calling Alex Zharovsky the next Scherbak. I am on record as saying he is closer to 19-year-old Scherbak than 19-year-old Demidov at this point in his career, not that he is a Scherbak clone. Similar size and body type, more of a stickhandler than a grinder type of player, more of a passer than a shooter, and not as competitive, strong, quick, or good defensively as Demidov...four things that held back Scherbak. I would describe him as better than Scherbak but not in Demidov's league. He won't be coming to the NHL next season and end up as the Calder Trophy runner-up. For me, Zharovsky is several years away from a regular NHL role, and that's okay. No rush on a team filled with young talent up front as it is. Alex has plenty of time to improve those weaknesses listed above. At the same age, Scherbak needed to work on those things, and he did not. The Habs have a lot better development group now than they did a decade ago, so I would expect Zharovsky to be much better than Scherbak at age 21. He is already producing in the KHL, so that's a great starting point. As for him being the "next Demidov," that is putting a lot of pressure on the kid's shoulders, and I just don't see him being a similar player. Demidov is special and well-rounded. Z has more weaknesses in his game at this juncture.

I would think that Montreal - Boston is a bigger rivalry for #Habs fans, based on playoff history.

Do people really think that Gary Galley has a Habs bias? He is without question the biggest anti-Habs broadcaster in media. His pleasure is derived from MTL's failures. He cackles when they get scored on. He is depressed when they win. I am shocked people think he likes the Habs.

Some people are really weird when it comes to Reinbacher. Wouldn’t you rather be wrong and him be a great player contributing to the Habs? It feels like some fans are just hoping he fails. Hope he can prove them wrong.
