@sjkilleen Even on teams that estimate with points, I usually forecast with takt times and just assume the backlog has a similar distribution of work item sizes to the completed work (unless I know that's not the case, e.g. if it's mostly epics)

@sjkilleen You can certainly do a Monte Carlo with points, but if you use velocity as your measure of the rate of completed work, you'll need to estimate the size of the whole backlog before you can forecast it
