@GregCarterSport How do you get lifetime yips at 12 for tweaking a forehand?
English

So interesting hearing Andy Murray talking about Jamie Murray, his forehand and his singles career:
“When he was 12, he went from being one of the best players in Europe, he was in the top 3 behind Rafa Nadal and Richard Gasquet, and he moved to a training base in England and within 6 months they tried to change his forehand and he never found it again, he basically got the yips on his forehand from 12 years old and never recovered it and that’s why, regardless of the equipment, he cannot swing the racket properly. So it’s amazing he ended up doing what he did in tennis but his singles career was done because he couldn’t hit a forehand, couldn’t generate any power”
So cool to hear Andy talking about it! (Quote from “The Set” YouTube channel)

@Benjwinst If we get some sort of clause that he signs on a free next summer, this is a no brainer imo. Still a class above and a lot to give

I think *a* Men's World Cup is winnable for the US. Excelling at football technically is very hard, so in England we have a pathway for guys who are physical but lack skill. The 2031 Men's Rugby World Cup is hosted by the US and it's a huge opportunity.

From @TheAthletic: It’s time to admit the uncomfortable truth: The U.S. may never win a men’s World Cup. "This sport belongs to the world. We borrow it every few years," our columnist writes. "America is not built for the beautiful game." nyti.ms/4aGgrvA

Am very excited about going for tomorrow's game
Watching *a big World Cup at the Azteca* feels like something out of lore, or from a mythical past, that is now supposed to be unattainable

@LFCRed4life Not to mention all the sponsors of the tournament, who will be a lot happier with their ads, LED boards, etc being shown to potentially tens of millions more. Yes they've already paid, but the relationships are sweeter, with room for more £$€ at the next one
English

@LFCRed4life Wrong. If the domestic broadcasters in Europe receive greater viewership at a better time slot, they can charge more for their advertising slots, which makes them more money. Then when the next world cup comes along, FIFA can charge more money for media rights
English

Dude you need to get out more.
1. I’ve been to the UK for football 25 times.
2. The English as a majority don’t dislike the USA team
3. Mexican fans are some of the most vile in the planet and deserve 0 happiness’s
4. England has been our closest ally and Mexico hasn’t despite being our neighbor.
English

We’re rooting for Mexico lil bro.
