Rain isn’t the same everywhere in the solar system—it depends entirely on each planet’s atmosphere, temperature, and pressure. On Earth, rain is liquid water. On Venus, clouds are made of sulfuric acid, producing acid rain that evaporates before reaching the surface. On Mars, the thin, cold atmosphere creates dry ice snow (frozen carbon dioxide). On gas giants like Jupiter and Saturn, extreme pressure may turn carbon into diamond rain deep within their atmospheres. Similarly, Uranus and Neptune are also believed to have diamond rain under intense conditions. On Pluto, freezing temperatures allow methane snow to fall. And on Mercury, there’s no rain at all due to the lack of a significant atmosphere. Same concept—precipitation. Completely different worlds.
