Karnataka University, Dharwad – Underpass Update The main works on the ramp connecting the circular junction to University Public School/VC Quarters are now completed. The remaining works are in progress. The ramp will start opposite University Public School. We can expect this stretch to be opened to traffic within a few weeks. Pic was clicked from VC quarters side.

Rani Chennamma Circle Flyover update from Hosur Circle, Hubballi. Footage taken today. The down ramp towards Dharwad from Rani Chennamma Circle via IT Park will join the BRTS mixed lane near Hosur Regional Bus Stand. A pillar is being constructed right opposite Canara Hotel for the down ramp. OTOH, an up-ramp pillar towards Rani Chennamma Circle is being constructed near Hosur Circle BRTS bus stand. Hubballi-Dharwad bypass work latest update. The pics were clicked on 15/3/26 1. Fully opened main carriageway from Narendra Cross till a few metres before the Kelageri exit. 2. The old road and bridge was demolished at Kelageri junction. The traffic is already diverted on the new bridge. 3. Connecting ramp to Kelageri road exit from Hubballi side. This will connect with Kelageri road towards Dharwad city and Goa road. (1/n)

Hubballi-Dharwad bypass work update as of 26/1/26 1. A ramp from Haliyal road from city side towards bypass has been asphalted and a direct connectivity with the bypass is open. The other side of the ramp towards Haliyal from Bypass and bypass to Narendra cross are still under construction. 2. Old bridge at Kalaghatgi road exit towards Hubballi has been demolished and a new one is constructed. The span works to connect the new bridge with the elevated ramp in progress. The other bridge at Kalaghatgi road exit has been opened to traffic long back. 3. 6 lane road work is completed except one small diversion from Mishra Pedha till Itigatti. The new road is very smooth. (1/n)

Waterlogging again at Haliyal Road underpass, Dharwad after today’s thunderstorm. The drainage design is unscientific. There is a drain near the iron fence that handles water from the Srinagar-side ramp, but there is no proper drainage inside the underpass. This guarantees waterlogging every time it rains heavily. Who approved this design? Requesting @SWRRLY @drmubl to instruct the contractor to immediately fix this drainage.
