MY MOTHER’S FUNERAL @painesplough is a complex, introspective piece of theatre about commodification of trauma and the ways in which theatre so often forces its creatives to compromise their values in order to survive and succeed. Powerful staging and clever storytelling.

WHY I STUCK A FLARE UP MY ARSE FOR ENGLAND @FollowTheCow @bumflareplay is a gem of a solo performance by Alex Hill. Interrogates football culture and men’s mental health in a way that is shocking and challenging and yet accessible to a wide audience through its outrageous comedy.
