I want to start a community dedicated to Claude Code. It’s become the gateway drug to coding and experiencing the power of AI for tons of people. This will be a space for people to share killer use cases, agentic workflows, proven prompts, and connect with other CC obsessives. Comment “Claude” if you want to join.

The best AI tools & tactics are stuck in private chats and buried Slack threads. So I'm spinning up a few WhatsApp groups for folks who are actively using AI in their day-to-day. First is an AI group for ceos/founders. Second is an AI group for engineers & engineering leaders. Third is an AI group for marketers & marketing leaders. No sales pitches. Just smart people sharing how they’re using AI to move faster, do more, and stay ahead. If you want to join one of these groups, reply with "ai" and I’ll DM you an invite.

.@iocmedia is forcing athletes to sleep without AC and in cardboard beds during the Olympics, while temperatures in Paris might reach up to 108°F (42°C). This is not acceptable. I’m sending them an open letter with my thoughts and potential solutions. In the meantime, I will provide @eightsleep Pods to the first 10 Olympic athletes who reach out to us.

Motivation is not a constant, but we can design our environment to keep us on track. Two pesky Achilles tendons have sidelined me from running so I’ve been spending more time on the bike. I recently got a Peloton (not sponsored), and clippity clops. This must be that middle age I've been trying to outrun, sans lycra. Battling through an interval session—four 6-minute sets and a 20-second, 600-700 watt sprint—I realized biking is hard. Most days, motivation lacks, and many days I can’t be bothered. Juggling work with training for an Olympics is hard. So how do I engineer an environment to keep my lazy ass accountable? There are a few things that help: Working with a coach, S&C guru @NickWebb101 programs every session. For example, each interval has clear watt and RPM targets (basically power and speed) based on my capability or ‘functional threshold’. Setting dedicated training hours in my calendar and sticking to them. Sessions are loaded in an app so I just have to log in and get started. It always struck me that the hardest part of any run is putting your shoes on. If I am honest, without proper design I’d struggle as my motivation is anything but constant. At @HIAorg we have been defining our key objective for 2024 (thanks @JackLewars). Identifying our north star metric was just the first step; tracking progress is the challenge. Like the bike dashboard, we need a system to monitor progress so we're creating visuals of each key result that we need to track. This world is not as binary as watts and RPMs, but by understanding our capabilities, setting clear targets, and occasionally pushing beyond our perceived thresholds, we can overcome resistance and break through barriers. I quite liked this from the weekly Farnham St newsletter: "Talent and potential mean nothing if you can't consistently do things when you don't feel like doing them." — @shaneparrish Motivation dips are pretty normal…I think. Curious how others are designing their environments to keep them on track!

@vismaleaseabike optimise every detail for performance. Their latest quest for aerodynamic supremacy has been testing a new time-trial helmet, the Aerohead II 🪖 It utilises advanced position scans and 3D models to give the riders better visibility and more speeeed. Tour de France juggernauts, @VingegaardJonas and @WoutvanAert have been testing it to gather data that proves this lid will have an impact. Pursuing excellence makes sports cool. @HIAorg is inspired by this ethos. Our athletes take a similar approach when trying to make a difference in the world, their giving mirrors the precision and discipline of elite sports - because just like on the race course, results matter Ash Lewin, lead designer for the Aerohead II said, “I’ve dreamed of the fastest helmet ever” ⚡️ As the Tour de France culminates with a time trial into Nice, all eyes are on Visma! teamvismaleaseabike.com/news/news/team… #highperformance | #tourdefrance | #sportsbiz @m_heijboer 🙌

Our recent @FIH_Hockey Olympic Qualifiers in Oman reinforced one lesson for me. In high-level sports results really do matter. We like to bang on about trusting the process and giving our best but really, in these big crunch matches, all we care about is the result...is getting that ticket to Paris. ✈️🇫🇷 This drive for results isn't always confined to the field, track, or court. Athletes care about more than just hitting a ball or running really fast. It is cool to see that @BenShelton cares about both winning tennis matches 🎾 and the climate 🌍 When it comes to climate action, it is bloody hard to be perfect. Ben finished second in the @atptour Carbon Tracker, offsetting all 28 tournaments he attended last year (shoutout to @_MarkEpps and his team for this initiative 👏). He then granted the $30,000 donation he won to @HIAorg's Environmental Portfolio, funding three of the most ambitious climate orgs: @cleanaircatf, @FoundersPledge Climate Fund, and @GoodFoodInst ⚡️ We were stoked to hear Ben say: “I like their vision of getting the most value out of every dollar donated. I think that’s really interesting and gives you that assurance that your donation is making a difference.” Powering up his climate action with high-impact climate donations to get the most out of every dollar. Epic work Ben! atptour.com/en/news/shelto… #HighImpactGiving | #climateaction | #SustainableSport | #sport

It's too bad "effective altruism" has been destroyed as a brand by SBF, because altruism is important and "effective" is probably the most important adjective you could qualify "altruism" with.
