The design I am going to use is the Action Research design. I chose this design because I want to determine if the variable of small group settings have a negative impact on ELL students achievement.

My research question is “Does small group settings with ELL students negatively affect ELL students academic success in Title 1 Schools?”

The purpose of my study is to explore the factors that affect ELL students academic success in Title 1 School. #edresearchsummer25

The quantitative design I am going to use is the experimental design. More specifically the pre-test/post-test design. I chose this design because I want to determine if the variable of small group settings have a negative impact on ELL students achievement.

The qualitative design I’m using is a case study. I chose this design because I am focusing on a singular case. The purpose of this study aligns with a case study the best. This was a close decision as I also think a grounded theory design would along with this topic as well.
