Now, as Musk approaches trillionaire status, he should commit/tithe at least $100 billion to a fund dedicated to combating extreme poverty, hunger, preventable disease, and humanitarian crises worldwide. Money alone cannot undo the damage already done. But if this moment marks an unprecedented personal financial milestone, it should also be an opportunity for an unprecedented act of restitution. Musk has the resources to save and improve countless lives. He should use them.

This is justice in a blue state (New York). State Trooper Christopher Baldner pulls over a family SUV for speeding on the Thruway. Driver Tristin Goods refuses to show ID and escalates the stop. Trooper uses pepper spray. Driver floors it and flees at high speed. Trooper follows training and uses pit maneuver to ram the vehicle and stop the threat. The SUV crashes. Goods’ own 11-year-old daughter Monica is tragically killed. Result? Trooper Baldner was just sentenced to ~7 years in prison for manslaughter. The father - who caused the deadly chase - walks free after claiming he was “scared for his life.”

This batter hits a hard shallow liner into right field. The right fielder is charging and fires to first. The ball is overthrown and the runner looks but decides to stay at first. The catcher backed up the overthrown ball and throws to first and he rages the runner. The umpire calls him out and says he made an attempt to go to second base. I think he looked but I don’t see an attempt. He stayed in fouls territory the whole time. Just because his head looked doesn’t mean he made an attempt. 50/50 people saying he’s out for an attempt and others say no attempt, he should be safe. What’s your call? Safe or out? An attempt to second or no attempt?

FYI Houses built in the 70's and before were built to last. Houses built today, will deteriorate before you pay it off. My house was built in 1972. 3/4 inch plywood, a nail every 12 inches, no creaky floors. Block foundation with 2 1/2 foot DRY crawl space. Just replaced roof with 50 year warranty shingles. No plywood needed replacement under the previous shingles. My biggest homeowner maintenance costs? These shitty appliances. 10 years max on dishwasher, refrigerator, dryer,dishwasher, hell, even my hot water heater quit in less than 10 years.

If you bought this home today with a 30 year mortgage, it would be almost 90 years old by the time you pay it off. Who is the next buyer in 2056!?!? This market is so ready to collapse.
