It's just Tuesday but my week has major highlights. Submitted my paper that assessed @okeanaye's policy work on Basic Healthcare Provision Fund, and the Ekiti State Social Health Insurance. It was nice doing a brief work on someone I admire so much in the industry.

Gathered in Abuja today, are Commissioners of Health, ES's of State Primary Health Agencies, and CEOs of State Insurance Agencies to participate in the first ever Top Team Effectiveness Retreat of sub-national Health leaders.

However, seeing how @zukynokeke and @ARC4SC have facilitated the transformation of Yobe State Drugs and Medical Consumables Management Agency, I am convinced that while there may be initial resistance, good work will always sell itself. #OOFSDIARY

One word to describe the past week? INTENSE! Despite the chaos, 3 things stood out to me & they are: 1. Continuous self-development keeps you in “site”. 2. People may forget what you say, but will remember how you made them feel. 3. Good work sells itself. #OOFSDIARY

I could see that the strategy the state was implementing in managing its drug supply system was one I had designed while I led @huwegov 4 years ago. At the time I developed the guideline, there was resistance to its implementation & I thought no state was willing to adopt it.

1.Yesterday, we received our batch of the #COVID19 vaccines from @NphcdaNG courtesy of #COVAX. Today, the Executive Governor of Ekiti State @kfayemi, the First Lady, the Honourable Speaker of the House, some frontline workers and I received our first shot of the vaccine.

This is great news! I am immensely proud of the work being done by @Ulera_Ekiti, led by the Honourable Commissioner, Dr. @okeanaye and our frontline health workers. This commendable milestone is a result of our preparedness and huge investments in critical health infrastructure.

Earlier today, my mom received her 1st dose of the AstraZeneca #COVID19 vaccine. She has not experienced any side-effects. I’m grateful for the hard work by scientists & health workers across the world, to protect vulnerable people from #COVID19 #YesToCovid19Vaccine

When you receive the latest data of persons vaccinated in the State 😁 We really look forward to getting more vaccines to enable us vaccinate many more people. #BlueEnergy
