It was a hard decision a few months ago to apply for a role outside of Aquinas after six and a half years, but it is the right next step for me! I can’t wait to get stuck in with the incredible team at Skinners’ Temple Grove.

Our Year 6 class are off for three days of transition to secondary school and while they’re gone I’ll be having my own transition day for my new job! I’m over the moon to have been appointed as the Deputy Headteacher at Skinners’ Temple Grove.

@lifeatthenest Totally agree with all of this. I also think it’s just lazy. If their child’s quiet and not causing a fuss they think that’s good. Electronic babysitters! The not interacting because they are on their phones is as sad as not having a clue what their child is accessing!

Do parents really know what their children can access on smartphones. As a former teacher I can tell you that I have dealt with sexting, accessing prn, filming violence, cyber bullying, grooming, scamming, filthy old men contacting girls. This was in a primary school. So much…

I agree with tone and detail in this thread. It appears that Ofsted can't bring itself to think differently and draw on successful accountability processes in other countries. It demonstrates a genuine lack of imagination and a desire to stick with the status quo. Must do better.
