NEW: 4 years ago, the government studied whether or not a tunnel under Highway 401 was doable, finding a risk of collapse and eventually pausing the work. Now, it is refusing to release the study - after paying a company $9.1M to do it again. #Onpoli globalnews.ca/news/11517188/…

NEW: Executives and owners of a number of organizations that received SDF money from the Ford gov’t quickly donated money right back to the PC Party. Critics are calling it a “circular economy” and a “scheme.” globalnews.ca/news/11499290/… #onpoli

$1.3 billion in a political slush fund, but deficits at North Bay Regional Health Centre of $5.6 million or $600,000 at Campbellford Hospital are unaffordable for the Ford government? Unbelievable. Unacceptable. thetrillium.ca/news/politics/…

The FAO reports the Ford government, having promised to end hallway medicine, is actually planning to cut 2,457 hospital beds. This, coupled with layoffs from underfunding, will choke access, extend waits & degrade the quality of care. Time to fight. thetrillium.ca/insider-news/g…

The Attorney General basically confirms that the Ford government's goal with this new legislation is to put an end to month-to-month tenancies, and give landlords ways to end tenancies without a legal reason and without an eviction process. ctvnews.ca/toronto/articl…

The Ford government already eliminated rent control for buildings built after 2018. They are now taking steps to eliminate rent control in Ontario altogether. This is shameful and disgusting given the affordability crisis that so many people are facing.

My latest report for @UNUCPR is out! The Fourth International Conference on Financing and Development is an opportunity for a big step forward. While more work is needed to advance sovereign debt reform, the work of UNU-CPR will hopefully stimulate meaningful discussions.
