This juxtaposition is crazy. Diesel near me just hit $3.59/L - about $280 to fill a Ford Ranger. At the same time, renewables via the grid were supplying my house at 5c/kWh today. At these rates, one Ranger fill-up costs more than charging my EV for a year.

Buying a car and claiming it is better for me, saving $100 per week on fuel saves me $5k per year and $25k in 5 years for a start. It’s not for everyone but at the moment I’m ok with it for me.

Hahaha funny, I recently had a discussion with an amateur cyclist. We recalculated the purchase price per km. It was 0,17€/km. He rides + 10.000 km per year. He has 2 bicycles but did not recalculate to the full cost of both. We did also not include clothing and maintenance. Your data is a lie.
