English: I think that alongside of trying to prop up the more mainstream western artists in Japan that already have a very large prominent following overseas, it is equally as or even more important in my opinion to cultivate and showcase the best of the western underground here to them as well just like how me and some of my other peers are trying to do the same for Japanese DJs and music makers here in America. The underground I am talking about are those random producers and music makers you may come across randomly on SoundCloud that are absolutely amazing with little followers but haven't "broken through" to the mainstream yet or make music that in core is divisive to the western mainstream. Meaning those who aren't necessarily playing the biggest festivals like EDC in America or have arena/stadium level headline shows. Both sides of the scenes can learn a lot from each other, and we are seeing proof of that everyday in which artists from both the West and Asia are innovating their own unique paths day after day. I think it is more healthier for our music communities to connect and draw inspiration from one another and there is no correct "one way is right" sentiment. Japan has a very unique electronic music scene as well with a variety of different subcultures that inspire a lot of us in the west as well and without Japanese music I can guarantee you that a good handful of your favorite western music producers would not be making the sounds that they are known for today.

海外ですでに大きな支持を得ている、いわゆるメインストリームの欧米アーティストを日本でさらに紹介していくことも、もちろん大切だと思う。 でもそれと同じくらい、あるいは個人的にはそれ以上に、欧米のアンダーグラウンドで本当に面白いことをやっている人たちを日本で育て、紹介していくことも重要だと思っています。僕や周りの仲間たちが、日本のDJや音楽制作者をアメリカで紹介しようとしているのと同じように。 たとえば、SoundCloudを掘っていると偶然出会うような、フォロワーはまだ少ないけれど信じられないほど素晴らしい音楽を作っているプロデューサー。まだメインストリームに「見つかっていない」人や、そもそも欧米のメインストリームからすると、かなり賛否が分かれるような音楽を本気で作っている人たち。アメリカのEDCのような最大級のフェスに出演している人たちだけが、欧米のシーンを代表しているわけではありません。 お互いのシーンから学べることは本当にたくさんあると思うし、実際に今、アメリカ大陸とアジアのアーティストたちが、それぞれの環境や文化から影響を受けながら、毎日のように独自の道を切り開いていることが、その証明だと思います。 音楽コミュニティにとっても、どちらか一方を正解とするのではなく、お互いにつながり、刺激やインスピレーションを与え合うほうが、ずっと健全だと思う。「このやり方だけが正しい」という考え方は必要ない。 日本にも、さまざまなサブカルチャーから生まれた、本当に独自性のある電子音楽シーンがあります。それは欧米で活動している僕たちにも大きな影響を与えています。日本の音楽が存在していなかったら、今みんなが好きな欧米のプロデューサーの中にも、現在知られているようなサウンドを作っていなかった人が、間違いなくかなりいると思います。
