The United States officially announced the removal of reciprocal tariff duties on coffee from all origins. This is highly positive news for the global coffee sector and, in particular, for Colombia. We express our appreciation to the U.S. Government and to the Senators who listened carefully to our concerns, reviewed our technical analysis, and recognized the importance of protecting both the American consumer and the coffee producer at origin. This outcome confirms the value of maintaining direct, serious, and permanent engagement with key stakeholders across the international market. We look forward to further trade talks to strengthen our relationship with our most important market. The Colombian Coffee Growers Federation (FNC) sends a message of reassurance to all coffee-growing families. We reaffirm our commitment to strengthening our relationship with the United States, just as we do with partners in the Middle East, Asia, Oceania, and Europe. With global vision, technical diplomacy, and constant presence in the world’s decision-making centers, we continue to defend Colombia’s competitiveness.
