Pumped to support Jack and Chao as they build a foundation model built around spatial reasoning. Some thought on what makes us at Hyperstition Research bullish on this: 1. VLA approach in robotics is an artifact of retrofitting large language models to the physical world; custom models can do better 2. Spatial reasoning, which is what @SanchoRobotics is doing, is an efficient form of reasoning, both in data efficiency and accuracy 3. Locomotion in robots is under-explored & thus presents first-mover advantages in capturing the "flexible manufacturing" category Case in point, their partnership with @multiplylabs is solving movement between workcells.
