Boost VC: We lead Pre-Seed rounds for Deep Tech (bio, space, AI, robotics, crypto, VR, Sci-Fi). $500k checks. https://t.co/UkychvNuFk

Just a reminder: @BoostVC is bio-obsessed as far as investing. We have 82 active Bio investments and want to get to 1,000. - bio- defense - bio- super powers - bio- cures We invest first checks $500k. Engineer + Scientist teams seem to create the most momentum.

K2 Space is proud to announce that we are partnering with @anduriltech on the Pentagon’s Golden Dome missile defense program. K2 will be providing our proven Mega-class satellites to host Space Based Interceptors. Our satellites are bigger and more powerful than anything on orbit, and we’re thrilled to be selected for Golden Dome to demonstrate what these high power, high payload mass satellites can bring to the warfighter. You cannot buy a new gas turbine until 2030. Order books at GE, Siemens, and Mitsubishi stretch to 2029. Turbine prices have nearly tripled since 2019. Every AI data center needs power and every gas plant needs a turbine. And every turbine has one part that bottlenecks the entire industry: The blade. It has to survive in gas 500°C above the melting point of the metal it's made from and spin at up to 20,000 RPM under 10,000 g of centrifugal force. Each blade is grown as a single crystal of nickel superalloy, pulled through a vacuum furnace at 3 mm per minute. A set of blades costs $600,000 and takes 90 weeks to grow. The same metallurgy powers modern jet engines. Only 3 companies on Earth can build one. China spent $42 billion trying to catch up. They bought a Russian fighter engine, took it apart, and copied every part. Their copy ran 30 hours between overhauls versus 400 for the original. Modern Western engines run 4,000. You can reverse engineer the shape of a turbine blade. You cannot reverse engineer 60 years of metallurgy.

Cancer-sniffing dogs beat blood test. Zuck's $500M to bio + space laser energy. Rainmaker makes + measures rain. Colossal to de-extinct the Bluebuck. Millennial dads are exhausted and happy. + Science Breakthroughs, Earth AI, 2 Great Convos What a week for the optimists.

2/ "I believe that these 5, $100+ Billion dollar government contractors will be dismantled into 500 startup, $1B government contractors."

My lifes work is believing in people. Pretty lucky to get to do it with such a great team @BoostVC Thanks for understanding what we do @credistick. A great understanding of what we are, and what we do.

“If we believe something that the rest of the investment world doesn’t, that is a scarce resource and we must act.” If Stan Lee had written a venture capital firm into the Marvel universe, he might have picked @BoostVC. For over a decade, @AdamDraper and @BraytonKey have executed their unconventional strategy, making investments in the boldest ideas from science fiction at a radical pace and scale. As a result, they have consistently been early to technological and scientific breakthroughs, becoming an invaluable partner to the most ambitious founders and assembling a mighty network in the process. To illustrate, here's what a few of their portfolio companies are working on at the moment: - Jet packs - Dire Wolves - Space robots - Nuclear power - Cryptocurrency - Brain interfaces - Biohybrid brains - Electric hydrofoils - Enormous satellites The exceptional performance of their 2016 debut fund (which included investments in @coinbase, Bitcoin and @moltbook) speaks for itself.

Big news from @StarfishSpace! @BoostVC was the first investor in 2020. Just months after covid started. When in-person, high capex, & going to space was far from popular. @AustinLink, Trevor and team persevered and the market is catching up to the future they saw back then 🚀
