@chhuti_is SIR inadvertently drove higher voter turnout for the BJP among migrants and historically infrequent voters. The fear of being permanently struck from the voter list motivated many within these demographics to go to the polls for the first time in a decade.

I wrote the article. So let me put this bluntly. SIR had certainly helped BJP to win, but it did not steal the mandate. The mandate was overwhelmingly anti-TMC.
