The Trump Administration’s callous disregard for the livelihoods of TSA agents and passenger safety have created chaos in our airports. TSA agents are experienced and specialized in securing our airport yet have had to go without pay due to government’s inaction. Similarly, experienced @32BJSEIU members who work at airports handle passenger bags, clean airplane cabins and terminals, transport travelers in wheelchairs every day. Without our members and TSA, airports cannot function safely and efficiently. Sending ICE agents into our airports and our communities make all of us less safe and interrupts the vital role of air travel in our economy. There is another solution - Congress should move and pass The DeLauro Bill to restore full funding to the TSA and pay these essential workers for the critical work they perform.
