If you hear a loud rumble and thunderous roar over #FLL, look up! The U.S. @AFThunderbirds fighter jets are arriving for this weekend's #FLLAirShow. Before their headlining show performance, the jets will use our North Runway for a few hours of practice time on Friday, May 8, and will fly to/from our airport on Saturday, May 9 and Sunday, May 10 to the show location daily between 2-3PM. Spirit shut down right before John’s final retirement flight. No last flight, no big sendoff… until Southwest stepped up BIG TIME. Chris: “I whispered one thing to the captain… and the whole crew ran with it. Passengers, family, everyone came together.” They gave John the full treatment, water cannon salute, champagne, and a hero’s goodbye on his son’s airline. John: “It was overwhelming. A bright spot on a sad day. Southwest treated me like family. I’m proud my son flies for them.” Chris added: “Spirit has amazing people with a great culture. 🇺🇸🇨🇺 The FBI sent a plane to Cuba to save a kid from a trans parent who wanted them to get transition surgery. The child's biological father, who now identifies as a woman, and his partner faked a camping trip to Canada, crossed into Mexico, and flew to Havana with the child and $10,000 in cash. Cuban authorities helped locate them. The child has been returned to the biological mother in Utah. Experts say dispatching a government plane outside the country for a parental kidnapping case is something they've never seen before. Good. The FBI did the right thing. Source: New York Times
