@bubbleboi Thinkpads are no longer the unbreakable work machines they were a decade or so ago. Lenovo bought thinkpad lineup and the quality went down real quick(still better than many windows devices).

If you are doing low level systems programming or hardware development you need Linux. Every compiler, every tool, every driver, it just works on Linux and there is always a Linux build you can use.
Thinkpads are great for that. Good battery life, good I/O, all drivers work. I’m always skeptical when I go into a “hard tech” startup and see 30 MacBook boxes stacked up. You can get 3-4 really good thinkpads for the prices of a new MacBook Pro.

SuperGrok is insanely powerful. Use the file chat feature and talk to your code in real time. Coded this 3D model of helmet for a game asset using threejs and webgl with Grok 4. The file chat allowed me to add lighting and color controls just like that. It felt surreal. Try it now.
