Today we welcomed Secretary of State for Education @bphillipsonMP to @AMRCtraining on her first official university visit. The Secretary of State met our incredible apprentices, their employers and learnt how we are providing skills that businesses need now and for the future.

Our MA Digital Literacies, Culture & Education students experimented with Making on a trip to the @iForgeUoS What did we learn about digital text production, agency and 'real' composing? Five of our students explored their reflections in a series of blog posts, introduced here.

Last month @SheffieldUni’s Alumni Foundation awarded almost £40,000 in grants to student clubs and societies. From supporting a student-led ‘Makerspace’ @iForgeUoS to running a musical from start to finish in only 24 hours, we’re so impressed with everything students get up to.

Thanks so much to @BrandonOCo and @iForger_Pete It's always such a pleasure to work with @iForgeUoS and to introduce our @EducationSheff students to the space. They didn't want to leave!
