For the first time in my entire life, I realize why Vietnamese people (and every Asian people in fact) hate the Chinese so much. This entire campaign to force down the throats of everybody to call it “Chinese new year” is an incredible propaganda campaign. They don’t even call it “Chinese new year” in China. They call it “spring festival” and I guess from now on we should call January 1 “Gregorian new year” in order to satisfy their logic. The reality is the beginning of the Lunisolar agricultural calendar has a different name in a variety of Asian countries, and it’s pretty arrogant of the Chinese to get everybody to call it “Chinese new year.” “Lunar new year” is fine, no one wants to say “happy lunisolar, agricultural new year”. Yet these Chinese propagandists are out there trying to get everybody to just label it “Chinese” in order to satisfy their superiority complex.

@fordnation You can't force Canadian to buy overpriced legacy vehicles.

Our Premier is an embarrassment.
Feel shame, Ontario voters.

WATCH - Premier Ford today said Chinese made EV’s will be listening to your calls. “When you get on your cell phone, it’s the Chinese that are going to be listening” I ask Ford to back up those claims, & ask if he’s concerned about his Chinese made iPhone spying on him.

@RichardCityNews He forgot to mention the greatest threat is the one right next door.

Make no mistake: China now has a foothold in the Canadian market and will use it to their full advantage at the expense of Canadian workers.
The federal government is inviting a flood of cheap made-in-China electric vehicles without any real guarantee of equal or immediate investments in Canada’s economy, auto sector or supply chain. Worse, by lowering tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles this lopsided deal risks closing the door on Canadian automakers to the American market, our largest export destination, which would hurt our economy and lead to job losses.
To fix this mess, Prime Minister Carney and the federal government need to urgently step up and support Ontario’s auto sector. That means making the sector more competitive by ending the electric vehicle mandate, harmonizing regulations with key trading partners and scrapping federal fees that do nothing but add thousands to the cost of making vehicles and chase away investments. Instead of importing made-in-China vehicles, the federal government needs to be focused on working with Ontario to bring investment and jobs to factory floors in Brampton, Oshawa, Ingersoll and across the province, where assembly lines are at risk or have already left the country.
Whether farmers or auto workers, Canadians expect and deserve a federal government that gives them every shot at success. I’m urging Prime Minister Carney to work with Ontario to strengthen Canada’s auto industry, not weaken it. Together, let’s protect Ontario and protect Canada.

@fordnation You have no right to dictate Canadian to buy American cars.
English

@BRICSinfo There's not a single word regarding this meeting from the Chinese.
English

@fordnation You have no right to dictate what Canadian should buy, consumers have choices.

@BRICSinfo Wishful thinking if Trump expect Xi to call, Xi is heading to Southeast Asia next week.

@thecyrusjanssen Lol, basically she admitted that the US AI talents were not as good as the Chinese.
English

Wow! Just in case you aren't convinced that America is in full panic mode regarding China's rapid rise in AI development. We now have Melanie Hart, the Senior Director of the Atlantic Council's Global China Hub advocating for the US to "steal" China's best AI talent to keep pace with China 🤦♂️
What she says next is even more incredible! To achieve this goal, students from the mainland would need to feel safe in America, adding: “We can beat Beijing at making Chinese scientists feel safe.”
This shows you how disconnected from reality some Americans are about China. Chinese scientists do NOT feel more safe in America. In reality, this is one of the BIGGEST problems in the United States and MORE Chinese scientists are leaving the US and returning home to China because of racial profiling and terrible treatment. 👇

The only way forward for the US is to learn from China, which hilariously is easier to do now since China's latest AI tool is completely open source. But unfortunately it appears the US is going down the road of Mccarthyism and just branding everything from China as a national security threat, insea of realizing the only way America can improve is to improve oneself
