Because they had prepared themselves to receive it. And that carries an uncomfortable implication for us today. Spiritual truth is not something you simply download like information. It is something you become capable of perceiving. Which means the real question is not: “Why are the mysteries hidden?” The real question is: Have we developed the eyes to see them yet?
