@nickmangwana The support of #CA3 by ZIICC representing over 8million Zimbabweans shows that faith leaders like Reverend Wutaunashe and Bishop Mutendi are not only spiritual custodians, but active partners in building a peaceful, united and prosperous Zimbabwe under Vision 2030.

Summary of ZIICC Submission on Zimbabwe Constitutional Amendment No. 3 (2026) The Zimbabwe Indigenous Interdenominational Council of Churches (ZIICC), representing over 8.7 million members (more than half of Zimbabwe's population), has submitted formal support for the Constitution of Zimbabwe (Amendment No. 3) Bill, 2026 to Parliament. The churches affirm that Parliament holds exclusive constitutional authority to deliberate and pass this amendment, derived directly from the people through the 2013 Constitution and the 2023 elections. They argue that public participation requirements have been fulfilled and that no external body holds veto power over Parliament's legislative mandate. The submission grounds the amendment's extension of presidential and parliamentary terms from five to seven years in developmental necessity, citing Vision 2030 and the National Development Strategy disrupted by the 2019 political instability and COVID-19. The churches offer a theological rationale—the biblical Sabbath principle of seven-year cycles of work and restoration—noting that church leaders themselves first proposed a "seven-year political sabbath" in 2019. Key reforms supported include: transferring voter registration to the Registrar-General, replacing direct presidential elections with parliamentary election of the President (which they deem a "pastoral necessity" to reduce electoral violence), creating a dedicated Electoral Delimitation Commission, expanding Constitutional Court access, and restoring traditional leaders' political expression rights by repealing restrictions. Regarding the National Peace and Reconciliation Commission, whose constitutional mandate expired in 2023, the churches affirm its closure while committing to intensify church-led reconciliation work in partnership with government. The submission concludes by calling Parliament to pass the bill without intimidation, positioning the churches as active champions of national development programmes in their communities. #CAB3

THE PARTY IS OVER: THE RECEIPTS ARE IN 🇿🇼🇿🇦 The "billionaire" lifestyle just hit a brick wall. On April 23, 2026, the South African High Court officially pulled the plug on Wicknell Chivayo’s financial playground. The Hard Facts: • 🛑 ASSETS FROZEN: Under Case No: 2026-006392, a High Court Interdict has frozen his access to all major SA banks (FNB, Absa, Standard Bank, etc.). • ✈️ GROUNDED: The court has ordered the Airports Company of SA (ACSA) to block his movement. The private jet life is officially on ice. • 📂 THE SMOKING GUN: This follows a high-impact FIC Investigation (MIREF-240719-0000003) into the R800 million Ren-Form money laundering scandal. He landed at Lanseria yesterday (April 28) thinking he was coming home to luxury. Instead, he landed into a legal trap. You can’t "donate" your way out of a High Court freeze. Zimbawean contractors and service providers are frustrating broo 🚮 We simply no longer have the work ethic we used to be reputed for When we say here on X and other platforms that there is no business or work in Zimbabwe we are LYING for some part we are LAZY I needed a simple laser cut gate signage , since last Monday ive been looking for qoutes. Today is Tuesday a week later , not a single qoute Frustrated I contacted Black run companies , White run companies none whatsoever has been responsive despite promises to call back or email a qoute Today by chance someone refers me to a small Chinese operation , I drive to the work shop. 10 minutes we discuss design , I pay my deposit Mr Chinese man has his people on the ground a few hours later to prepare for installation We clearly are cut out differently , they do business differently. From today I want to aspire to run my business efficiently like the Chinese What is wrong with us though ? I dont blame anyone who prefers to work with Chinese contractors at all

Harare–Bindura Road is rapidly transforming into one of the finest highways in Zimbabwe and the region, with major rehabilitation and expansion into a dual carriageway now well underway. This @Zimra_11 nonsense notice is completely unenforceable & impractical when it comes to crypto because @ReserveBankZIM banned Zimbabwean banks from processing payments related to #BTC & crypto. That means if you make the mistake of transferring your #Bitcoin & crypto gains to Zimbabwe, the money would be instantly frozen by your bank. I know of two banks that rejected and returned payments from international crypto exchanges. Explains why every Zimbo in crypto opens accounts in SA & offshore. So, with no way for you to bring your money into Zimbabwe, it’s impossible to comply with the tax law they’re yammering on about, @mimmitwit @matigary @Mavhure We just need one patsy with a tiny amount of crypto to take this matter to court and ZIMRA will certainly lose. When the world (including our best friends the Chinese) speak about policy inconsistencies, they’re talking about stuff like this: where one arm of government bans something & rejects inflows from it into country while another arm demands tax on the very same banned/rejected inflows. This level of economic madness & incompetence should be studied.

The spectacle of Wicknell Chivayo accompanying Presidents Boko and Mnangagwa at ZITF on Thursday was unedifying and sullied respect for these two offices. Both Vice Presidents Chiwenga and Mohadi were present at ZITF and it is inexplicable why they did not accompany both Presidents rather than Mr Chivayo. Mr Chivayo holds no public office, runs no discernible business employing great numbers of people & has not demonstrated any particular ingenuity or innovation. The manner he flaunts his wealth (the source of which remains a mystery to most Zimbabweans) has deeply angered millions of Zimbabweans who are struggling to pay school fees or obtain basic medical care. This is the reason his presence in the company of both Presidents was unfortunate to say the least. We can do so much better #Zimbabwe in marketing ourselves and our Nation.

As of April 23 2026, Zimbabwe has issued at least 76 Statutory Instruments this year (highest is SI 76 of 2026 per VeritasZim listings… There has been 113 days in 2026. That’s an Si every 1.4 days. Sigh.
Nick Mangwana@nickmangwana

We are coming up with a Statutory Instrument to stop Medical Aids from also providing services, as there is a serious conflict of interest threatening the existence of independent medical practice in Zimbabwe. Being the insurer and the provider has resulted in numerous challenges that we seek to correct. Some medical aids are fighting this SI by hook and crook because they have been benefitting from the clear conflict of interest and anti-competitive nature of this arrangement. We notice that the state media seems to have been dragged into this and have not even cared to hear the Govt’s side. We are very disappointed to say the least. Furthermore, on the question of authorship: an opinion must have an author. How can we have an opinion that is said to be done by a "correspondent"? Whose opinion is that? That would make readers believe it is the paper's opinion or a corporate-sponsored opinion. State Media has a responsibility to refuse to publish such. When a "correspondent" is listed instead of a named individual, the reader cannot assess bias, motive, or accountability. Is it the newspaper speaking? A hired public relations firm? An anonymous corporate interest? In matters of public health policy, where billions of dollars and the viability of independent medical practice hang in the balance, anonymity is unacceptable. State Media, in particular, has a duty to model transparency. Publishing unattributed opinions as if they were news or editorial consensus deceives the public and undermines trust. If an opinion is worth publishing, it is worth signing. Govt insists on this principle, and State Media should refuse to publish any opinion piece that hides behind the vague label of "correspondent." heraldonline.co.zw/opinion-zimbab…
