IRAP condemns reported plans to ship Afghan refugees who assisted the U.S. to a country they have never been to or face persecution at the hands of the Taliban upon forced return to Afghanistan. Mohommad Nazeer Paktyawal's death in ICE custody over the weekend is heartbreaking and IRAP calls for a transparent investigation into his death. BREAKING: We’re suing to block the Trump-Vance admin’s policy ordering the mandatory arrest and potentially indefinite detention of lawfully admitted refugees. The admin is using its failure to process green card applications to target refugees for deportation. We will see them in court.
