Only way the Delhi Gymkhana can survive is by getting it declared as part of the "basis structure" of the Constitution.

@iRohanSachdeva it doesn't matter if 37% of Indians live in urban areas or 41%. Last redrawing of LS seats happened on the basis of the 2001 census that allocated Just 28% seats to urban centres. So Urban India has just 28% seats, population numbers are irrelevant.

Lol. Urban India votes saffron. We’re rapidly urbanising. Approx 37% of India lives in urban centres. Will cross 41% by 2031 and touch 45% by 2037. (World Bank) Add to that the post delimitation scenario, which will now be both inter state and intrastate since opposition rejected the flat 50% increase the board, thereby further intensifying the urban tilt 😏

If you are looking for a change in 2029, stay with @RahulGandhi and INC. Here is why: By 2029, Modi & BJP will hit a 3-term ceiling. Demographic shifts are already pushing older voting blocs out, leaving the 18–29 youth demographic as a massive political force at over 22% of the total electorate. The future belongs to Gen Z. Gen Z is fighting for survival. Over the last decade, relentless exam paper leaks, failed education policies, and a severe lack of jobs have caused youth suicide rates to rise alarmingly. The current government has completely failed to secure their future. As AAP stands exposed nationally, the CJP (cockroach) is here to divide the Gen Z vote. But youth sentiment is shifting rapidly toward @RahulGandhi. If Gen Z registers and votes for their future in 2029, a Congress-led transition is inevitable.

Can't compare the three. Each was a foundation and building block for the next. First was to fix basics, give dignity to the masses: Toilets, a roof over their heads, tap water, banking access expansion through UPI, DBT, electricity, LPG. Modi 2.0 was a shift to civilisational/sovereign restructuring that needed spending of political capital: Art 370, CAA, Ram Mandir et al but with simultaneous focus on infra like expressways, airports, rail electrification. Modi 3.0 so far has been about investments, manufacturing, semicon push, labour reforms etc. But will be remembered for eradicating Left Wing Extremism, doubling down efforts to reclaim two States on the Republic's peripheries (WB, PB) and cracking down on infiltration. Modi 4.0 and remainder of 3.0 should ideally be about even more structural reforms and a focus on urban infra on a war footing. And hopefully, a shift towards a Second Republic 🙏

@narendramodi ji it is hard to deny visiting when the invite comes directly However, time the visit when the situation is more conducive for you There could be no better time than G20 Summit in December to time the bilateral visit which will be immediately after midterms in November Given that Republicans are likely to take pounding, that is the best time to visit Trump will be eager to show the world he still has got friends

@SudsG5 May or may not have been a factor in the defeat but the messaging of the campaign still looks poorly timed and premature

India shining was not the reason Vajpayee ji lost. 2000 was a severe drought year. Overall deficiency was 19% but it hit UP, MP, Gujarat, MP, Ap particularly hard. 2001 was normal but The 2002 drought was one of the worst in 4 decades. The july deficit (sowing month) was 49%! Of the 5 years of NDA 1, 2 were some of the nastiest droughts in decades. A year after the 2002 drought NDA faced elections. The Italian though really got lucky. 2004 (drought year but ended by the time the govt was sworn in) to 2008 was a clean run of surplus monsoons. 2009 was a drought year but post elections. And the next drought was in 2014. The Italian never faced rural stress like Vajpayee ji did.

India Shining campaign was literally 2 decades ahead of its time. The time for such a campaign- urban, middle-class targeted would be now, given that we've fixed the basic low hanging fruits and have a new aspirational middle-class. Pramod Mahajan was a terrible advisor.

Ladli/Ladla UBIs should be enough to take care of that. Need to to break the rural/agrarian stranglehold on politics. Also the anger against municipal level apathy is getting difficult to ignore. Urban infra should be top priority in the remaining term and a core promise for the next. x.com/iRohanSachdeva…

@iRohanSachdeva Even now it will be ill-advised. Always keep them wanting more, and electorate is constantly aspirational so wont be satisfied anyway-youtu.be/ZlEIMYGzmoU?si… They released this song 1 year into Modi 1.0..and it contains almost all flagship schemes- still promises more to come
