When asked about health disparity in black communities, Dan Polivka suggested race be left out of it that we should focus on Zip Codes. Disheartening comments from our President and our Commissioner. Vote with self-interest in mind in November.

When asked about the numbers of black people that are killed by police officers, Donald Trump said this: “So are white people. So are white people. What a terrible question to ask. So are white people. More white people by the way. More white people.”

The media is a gatekeeper that feeds you what they want you to know. It can be false or inaccurate information. Be diligent as you search for news and truth. #ThursdayThoughts

The civil lawsuit says the officers were shooting "erratically, recklessly, willfully, wantonly and maliciously" after entering into the apartment unannounced.

The man they were looking for, the reason listed on the search warrant, was not in that apartment that night and was ALREADY arrested more than 10 miles away.

While we should be laser focused on the Presidential election, there's some VERY important races that get over-looked and effect communities in deeper ways. Prosecutors stay in office for YEARS and often run UNOPPOSED. These are important. #IVoteBlack

Without saying names, some people just don’t learn when to keep their mouth shut. We see tears and apologies one moment then a “Beautiful message” comment in another moment. People aren’t worried about their racism showing until they get caught. #iVoteBlack

The media is a powerful gatekeeper. Do not think the fight for justice has ended because the media is reporting on COVID-19. The movement that has begun across the United States is still ablaze. #iVoteBlack

On this date, four years ago, Alton Sterling was fatally shot by police outside a convenience store in Baton Rouge. No charges were brought against the officers.
