So, after a long review, followed by rejection and again a long review I published my first extension (outside work) in chrome store. Here is the link: 👇 chrome.google.com/webstore/detai…

Just built a chrome extension that could manipulate any request/response. And the main thing is you can only see the headers using the browser APIs, even which I didn't have to use. This is a serious loophole. Choose your browser extensions carefully 🙏

For someone who is so used to mozilla docs, the new website took me by surprise. Had to check if I was in correct place 😅

If you learn to code, you'll open up a world of massive opportunities. If you also learn to market yourself, you'll never have to worry about work. - Start a blog - Share knowledge on Twitter - Teach on Instagram - Talk on YouTube Choose what fits you best and go for it!

Finally, after over a month of learning @GatsbyJS, I made my personal website using it. Since I've just started building my own projects, I'll update them regularly. Check it out here 👇 karthiik.com

@oliverjumpertz I will be more than happier to use the if statement. Or in some cases the && short circuit ✌️

💛 JavaScript explained 💛 Short-circuit evaluation with the logical OR is an alternative way to using an if-statement with negation. Should you use it yourself? Probably not, but transpilers and minimizers use it to reduce your code size. ↓

We can also easily nest the contents headings. This will display: Section 1. Animals 1.1 Dog 1.2 Cat 1.3 Goat.. and so on #HTML #webdev #webdevepment

Use CSS counter to append numbers in headings, list, sub headings etc easily. The below code will produce a list like: Section 1. Animals Section 2. Birds Section 3. Trees

I think YouTube has reduced the side padding for the comments section in the app. Or is it only me who feels that way🤔🤔

In such cases use the ternary operator, which is safer and far more readable. Thanks

For starters, it looks OK. It shows remaining credits if credits is more than zero. But there is a catch. What happens if credits is exactly zero? Zero will be rendered!!. Remember zero is just a valid text inside the render method. So React will render that.

If you are using React, be careful while using the short circuit && operator inside the render method. The && operator does not only check the condition, but also returns the first falsey value. Look at the code below:

Thanks 🙏 (PS: I'll put a follow up thread where I'll explain a small caveat using the short circuit operator in React⚛️)

This safety can also be achieved in a more efficient way: optional chaining - ?. Just keep in mind that optional chaining is relatively new JavaScript feature and not all browsers support it. Check here: caniuse.com/mdn-javascript… .
