This was a landmark meeting as it was the first since the IAF's incorporation. Aikikai has decided to establish the IAF Coordination Office, led by Hisateru Matsumoto Sensei, former IAF Treasury.

Exciting Developments at the IAF Liaison Office Meeting! This week marked a significant event in the Aikido community as the IAF DC held its annual Liaison Office meeting with Aikikai online for optimal management of IAF resources. #aikido

We were honoured by the presence of Doshu Moriteru Ueshiba, President of the IAF, alongside Hombu Dojocho Mitsuteru Ueshiba, who chaired the meeting, and Yoko Okamoto Shihan, Chairperson of the IAF.

The 63rd All Japan Aikido Embukai is to take place on May 23, 2026 at the Nippon Budokan in Tokyo. Aikido practitioners within IAF Country Member organizations can participate in this auspicious event. The registrations can be submitted per country by the end of February. #aikido

December 14th is the birthday of Aikido Founder Ueshiba Morihei.  We would like to express our gratitude for the creation of Aikido, and our joy in sharing the practice of Aikido today and everyday with you all.

Over 1,000 Aikidoka and guests gathered in Tokyo to honor Doshu Ueshiba Moriteru, recipient of the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette. Three generations of the Ueshiba family have now received imperial distinction—a legacy of Aikido’s lasting impact.
