It was the RAF Connighsby in Lincolnshire, 40.3°, where the measurement is done next to the runway. So I suggest you give yourself a head wobble. And if you do any research you'll know the main reason global av. temps (no such thing by the way but I'll humour you) are rising is because nights and winters are getting slightly warmer. Not summer temps.

We were saddened to see protesters prevent the start of safety works on Mill Road bridge last night, and threatening to repeat their law breaking tonight.

Just been to take a quick look at Mill Rd Bridge this evening. Plenty of police around and it's firmly shut to motor traffic at both ends (buses excepted). Progress!

The carbon cycle has been close to equilibrium through the Holocene; we know this because we measure atmospheric CO2 concentrations in ice cores. But in the past few centuries CO2 has increased by 50%, and is now at the highest level in millions of years due to human emissions.

Very disappointing to see a prominent local businessman encouraging pro-traffic people to make multiple submissions in the Mill Rd bridge consultation. Clearly not confident that they have the support of local people for their views (they don't).
