Leaving aside what you think of the ‘regime’ (as it’s always referred to) , Iran is one of the great countries of the world. A beautiful country, with historic towns and cities, 29 UNESCO world heritage sites, kind, hospitable and cultured people. We should always be mindful that the first casualty of war is the truth. Peter- doing proper journalism- has asked for the evidential details to confirm that an Iranian missile was indeed shot down on its way to Diego Garcia. So far he hasn’t received any.
It’s an important question as this alleged missile attack (which Iran has denied) was then used to claim that Iran had missiles which could reach Britain and that therefore we should become directly involved in the war. Let’s see if Peter receives an answer.
