I’ve posted before how much I like Enniscrone. I’ve never seen pictures that give an insightful scale & perspective of how dramatic the course is. Has anyone played it? Did you like it as much as I did? Architect Eddie Hackett did an awesome job here, as well as at Carne. More great pictures from Evan Schiller. 🎉🙏🙌

“Sedge Valley” What are your thoughts on this par 68?

@JohnDairyQueen I had the lowest expectations for Sedge, but I loved it. I could play it every day. I found it to be the most difficult course to score on of the 4.

Sedge Valley booked for Friday. Give me all your thoughts and reviews. I have played Mammoth and SV multiple times and excited to experience this and put it in my rankings (also any Lido members out there want to host a guy?? 😆)

An argument can be made that CapRock boasts the greatest collection of par 3’s in the US. What would be some other competitors: PV, Cypress, Merion, Camargo, WF??

Now back from #TweedGolfTrip2025 at Sand Valley, below is my ranking and subsequent Pros/Cons/Verdict of each course. This could change daily as I digest! 1) Sand Valley 2) The Lido 3) Mammoth Dunes 4) Sedge Valley 5) The Sandbox

@BryanTweed16 @Sand_Valley It was my favorite of the SV courses. It’s a course I could play every day and not get sick of. I think subconsciously I had written it off because of the par 68. But actually it was the most challenging course to score at statistically for our group of 16.

Pleasantly surprised by the diversity and challenge of Sedge Valley, the newest course at Sand Valley. Designed by Tom Doak, it’s fairly benign off the tee, but the smallish & crazy contoured greens are it’s defense. Several great “go-for-broke” half-par holes & solid conditions.

@BryanTweed16 @Sand_Valley Planning a golf trip for a big birthday with friends. Most options are on the table, as long as they aren’t crazy expensive like pebble (I live near enough pebble to get on) or pinehurst. Is this place worth it? Was considering Paynes valley. Any others to consider? Value is key

The original Sand Valley remains the most complete experience of all the courses at the resort. It’s expansive, but still interesting off the tee, but I absolutely love the diversity of the green complexes. Still my favorite set of Par-3s of any public access course I’ve played.
