@MsSapone False that she has *no* idea what’s she’s talking about. SVB did in fact lobby against some pretty important financial regs. But I do think she may be missing some bigger picture perspective here, which is that it is in everyone’s best interest for SVB to find a buyer right now.

The regulators were there until SVB lobbied Congress to remove the guardrails that prevent this kind of crisis in the first place. Warnings were everywhere. SVB, like many gamblers before them, knew what they were doing. Let the FDIC open the books & see what it’s working with.

The responses to this are WILD. I took it to mean she has had a hard time meeting founders in Miami. Other VCs assumed she was saying Miami has no quality founders… but why would a VC say that? The entire job is meeting ppl why would she write off an entire BOOMING metropolis?
