The poverty and lack of gainful employment in Nigeria has destroyed irrevocably, an entire generation of youths. This is more evident than others in the kinds of things that give us comedic relief on social media, the quality of our discussion and the kinds of characters we elevate on social media. Low thinking, depraved, deranged, unintelligent, retarded, retrogressive , tribalistic , bigoted and cocksucking people are now at the helm of affairs in the realm of twitter influence. Take a look at this fool thinking that a distasteful joke referencing having sex with his girlfriend’s mother is something funny and this tweet has a lot of views. To show the reflection of the minds of Nigerian youths today. Nigerian youths are just blind and ignorant followers , so blind that can’t think for themselves , they can’t counter argue, they can’t prove a point, because they themselves are so ravaged by poverty that they don’t want to offend the big influencer. The exact money worshipping behaviour of our parent’s generation has been transferred to ours. What this implies in summary is that E no go better for Nigeria any time soon. Societies are built by a sense of unity of purpose, a sense of principle, trust surplus, morality , patriotism, honour , pride and glory. A strive for excellence, a renewal of mind and refusal to fail, a paradigm shift, a renaissance, all of which is lacking in Nigeria’s youth today. I feel so pained and so sad everyday I wake up and see how a civilised world should be and I remember my own country , it makes me so sad, I begin to hate and curse Nigeria and curse Nigerians too. It’ll never get better, at least not in our generation. It’s a country built up to self destruct and the numbers show that since 1999, we have been running towards our own demise as a nation. My advise for all promising Nigerians is to flee as quickly as possible before the implosion swallows you with it. Shame! @YarKafanchan please I need you to help retweet this for visibility.

@VARPOLICE @eldivine Are you so daft that you cannot rationalise why it’s being told as an Igbo story???

@eldivine How the story of Biafra is repeatedly being told as an Igbo story needs to be studied.

Biafra was not only an Igbo story. I know many Efiks, Ibibio, many Ijaw, many Urhobos, many Itsekiri, many Iyalla, many Ogoja who lost loved ones to the war. It was something that happened to the whole region, and beyond. And Nigeria must PROPERLY reckon with its ghosts so that they can be properly buried.

In 1968, during the Nigeria–Biafra war, an Igbo woman reportedly declared: We will fight to the last man, confident of success, in response to the military government led by General Yakubu Gowon.

Simon Okeke of Uli, Anambra State, is widely credited with designing the Biafran pound during the Nigeria–Biafra Civil War. He died in a plane crash in 1969 while trying to print more notes. Today, 30 May, we remember S. Okeke, the artist whose work became part of Biafra's history

I hope the ones who didn’t make it know that their children survived. I hope they know their bloodline did not end with them. I hope they know we rebuilt Igbo land. I hope they know it didn’t end with them. I hope they know their daughters grew into some of the most beautiful, resilient women in the world, and their sons became successful wherever they went. I hope they know that despite the war, the loss, the starvation, the displacement, and everything that was done to break us, ndi Igbo endured. We are still here. We rebuilt. We thrived. We will always remember.

Man O’ War beat a student to death at FUTO yesterday. I warned the university about their brutal activities in the school and advised the management to disband them and launch an investigation. They ignored it. Now a student is dead. Shame on Prof. Nnenna Oti. The blood is on your hands for your complacency.

The only mistake Obasanjo made was not summarily executing this man after he and bisalla orchestrated the assassination of Murtala Mohammed. Gowon; an uninteresting useful idiot of the MI6 and CIA use.

According to Gen Gowon, Nigerian soldiers were firing on palm trees during the civil war !!! Here is one of the palm trees !!!! After 60 years of genocide, all Gowon could say in his memoire is to make caricature of unrestrained killings of innocent civilians with aerial bombings in market places, churches, schools and hospitals, including attacking RED CROSS planes carrying emergency food aids to starving children with Kwachiokor !!! The genocide at Asaba was shooting palm trees !!! If at 90 years of age with deep reflections of private and public life all that Gowon could say is Igbos were like palm trees in shooting ranges, then what hope remains for healing for Nigeria fractured under tribalism, nepotism and state capture politics of exclusion!!! What happened to his slogan " No victor, no vanquished " at the end of the civil war when political allainces and patronages are made to ensure Igbos never hold power even to this age 60 years after the war ?? Gowon's mind aligns with politics of today .

Let nobody deceive himself. Nigeria alone would not have stood a chance against Biafra without the backing of Britain, America, Egypt, France, and the Soviet Union. They brought their weapons, their money, and their influence against a people whose only crime was wanting to live in freedom and dignity. Yet our people fought with uncommon courage. Our fathers fought, our mothers fought, and even our children became warriors out of necessity. Alaigbo refused to bow. That is why we reject every attempt to water down or rewrite what happened. It was not a "civil war" as they want the world to believe, it was a calculated campaign that cost millions of innocent Biafran lives. Is this the history the BBC wants us to forget? Is this the story they want rewritten through the mouth of a man who neither witnessed the war nor lived our pain? Tufiakwa! We will tell our own story. We will defend our own history. And we will never allow anyone to erase the sacrifices of our people.
