Six (6) realities that shocked me in Gembu, Mambilla.
1. Farmers are strictly prohibited from using fertilizers.
2.Digging wells is prohibited.
3.Herders do not move around with grazing their cows, ranching is the only practiced method of rearing cows.
4. Many of the Mambilla people I met mostly communicate in Fulfulde or English.
5. One of the most widely studied courses by Mambilla people is Veterinary Medicine.
6.There are indigenous Igbo people who have lived there since the creation of Nigeria in 1914 and still lives there till date living peacefully with the Fulanis.

Its archaic to talk about Nigeria helping black South Africans to fight apartheid. The main point is the fact that South Africa schools and hospitals were near collapse at the beginning of the millennium until they begged for doctors and stem teachers from Nigeria, who turned it around. Many of the totsis now leading toitoi against immigrants could barely pass matric, talk more of studying medicine or stem courses. 😁
