Good treatment for menopause shouldn’t be an “industry” based on spurious claims, it should be evidence based and designed for women not for profit

@clarky_on @BBCPanorama Surveys don't provide evidence of effectiveness of an intervention. They cannot be used to say if a drug works, for example. But they can be used to gather data on satisfaction with care or how many women find hysteroscopy painful. I hope this helps.

@iamboylan In @BBCPanorama programme menopause industry you said that a survey is not evidence but a survey designed by the BSGE is being used to write guidelines written by the BSGE who in turn take sponsorship from the equipment manufacturers likely to gain sales. Safe ???

Great use of qualitative thematic analysis,

I learnt a lot about using twitter as qualitative data source, working with @drnedatnejadi @trishgreenhalgh @ayomohfi @was3210 and @iamboylan on this project about pain experiences during #IUD / #coil procedures. An important #womenshealth topic that deserves more attention!
