BREAKING: Iran says the US has agreed to pay $300 billion in reconstruction funds directly to Iran as part of the deal Pakistan announced, alongside the release of $24 billion in frozen funds with $12 billion released before negotiations even start, per Mehr News. This directly contradicts Trump's & Vance's claim that no funds will be transferred to Iran at all. If Trump denies this is true, there never was a deal. If Trump confirms, the US has fully capitulated to Iran's demands.

@PollTracker2024 I watched Maher deliver these remarks last night, and it was very obvious his heart wasn't in it, and that he's not comfortable with Platner. But he apparently doesn't wish to pay the social price he'd pay in his circle for rejecting a DEM nominee for U.S. Senate. Disappointing.

I expected him to lose but was interested in him as a second place candidate My main surprise is the unprecedented meteoric rise of a 3rd place candidate who, in post-election ballots, has become the #1 candidate. That seems weird. I expect @HistoryBoomer to redirect from these actually interesting questions to a simplistic narrative in which he has no questions about the actual reality on the ground He vastly prefers to attack a question that no one on the right is asking. The idea that Spencer Pratt, a Trump-endorsed registered Republican reality show star with no political or managerial experience, had a chance of winning in deep blue Los Angeles was ridiculous. His ads were clever, and Karen Bass sucks, but Pratt had no chance. Claiming the primary election was rigged against Pratt is nonsensical. Pratt was Bass's dream opponent! Nithya Raman can actually compete for Democratic voters, something Pratt was ill-positioned to do. FINAL NOTE: Look at that pie chart and remember that 2024 was a GOOD year for Republicans in Los Angeles. Biden did much better against Trump in 2020 than Harris did in 2024. (I can't find the 2020 Los Angeles City totals, but in Los Angeles County, Biden was 71% to Trump's 27% in 2020 compared to Harris with 65% vs. Trump's 32% in 2024. And remember that Trump's popularity has been steadily dropping. It's now at 39% according to Nate Silver's polling average. It was 51.6% when he took office in January 2025. Many Latino voters who voted for Trump in 2024 have turned against him. Trump would be lucky to score 20% in Los Angeles today!
