@xPaxion They are all pixelart, at exactly 32px per meter. They're done by hand, with maybe a bit of semitransparent brushes. I don't consider myself a great pixel artist though:

@GobaDev Thanks for the advice! I mostly guessed that it’s cutom tracks in Blender (Godot still sucks for posing), then importing and piecing together a scene. Still, it feels so… clunky. Feels like interactions between characters is hard.

@iamcloudyfocus for most cutscenes though, I animate them entirely in blender and do all camera direction and stuff bespoke in a Unity Timeline track. never really thought I needed a more cheap approach but it definitely saves time at the cost of quality

Nothing super crazy, but I finally wrote my own sequencer system so I can make stuff like this, where it's *like* a cutscene without being fully hand-animated, much faster. Hopefully this means more side content in general 🤞 because now it's a lot cheaper to produce

@BilsuArt Always a treat watching these! For the ledge climbing, why don't you use a vertical raycast? You could check for ground to ensure there is a platform in front to climb onto. Also, I'd suggest reorienting the camera when grabbing so you're facing the ledge.

@BilsuArt @GobaDev Key here is no financial factor. People say 'make small games' so they make a living. For Trinity and Adamant Heart, we're doing it for love so maybe the most important thing is to not go crazy with scope.

@BilsuArt Depends how big Trinity 64 will be. A first game with limited scope, then an Act 2 or something with a more refined experience. Like the child part of OoT. Maybe @GobaDev can say about his experience with an Act 1?

Should I pursue releasing a smaller game(s) before Trinity 64 as my first game for more experience at the risk of not having passion for it? Also, financial success of Trinity 64 isn’t a factor.

@loopinears23107 It’s fine. MML did have transitions but they are very fast. Given I started 3D from zero back in August, the animations are not the best, and the idea is to eventually go back and refine it up. Still, I’m cherry picking the best and updating the bad from MML.

@iamcloudyfocus Hi, I don't want to be that person to provide unwelcome feedback, but every time I see this game I wonder if you've ever tried disabling interpolation between animation states? Legends didn't have that, for example coming to a stop from running was an instant change. Just an idea

@Brentleworth I’ll add it to the list. I’m still getting ideas for minor upgrades you can mix and match, like faster recovery, attract pickups... A small movement boost could be one of them.

@iamcloudyfocus The only thing I'd wish for is like 10% faster overall speed of everything. I know it's very much matching Megaman Legends speed but it'd be neat to probably be just a smidge faster. Maybe a gameplay speed toggle? :D Love it still
