@KainYusanagi The problem is resources are very limited, so anything not critical to the game, usually gets cut off in solo indie development :(

@iamcloudyfocus I disagree that it's not essential, personally, but wholeheartedly support this endeavour!

Last time the talk about filler was pretty controversial, so here's MY idea of "good" filler: books! There is a library in Adamant Heart to learn about the setting. It was cheap content to make, and adds richness and depth to the worldbuilding. Is it essential? no. Hence filler.

@iamcloudyfocus It’s the little details that will set this apart by miles from anything else. Stuff like this is a great addition to the game. I’m looking very forward to this. Oh and of course you were going to make the main character customizable with blue and spiky brown hair for me right?

@vasht9g Thought it but didn’t want that much punishment for now. The slide uses like a third of the bar, so you might do 3 in a row and empty it right away. It’s kinda closer to an action bar.

@iamcloudyfocus Maybe you could make her get winded if the bar is empty. That would make stamina management a bit more critical and you could make the bar alittle longer if you wanted. There seems to be a lot of corridors, so that would rachet up the tension as well. Looks very cool! :)

@Jetra_Virsai Furthermore, I want people to try builds and give flexibility. There is a badge/chip system that improves on specific mechanics, and you can choose which to equip up to 3-5.

@iamcloudyfocus I originally meant to say if "sprint / stamina" was necessary in general especially if you're following Legends design. Going to keep an eye on this one, I LOVED legends to absolute death.

@Jetra_Virsai Okay so, unpopular opinion maybe: MML was pretty dull outside of combat when moving around. Adamant has more exploration like Zelda, so I need to make roaming fun. I found sprinting is very good for that, and stamina is a natural evolution to give depth and prevent spam.

@Jetra_Virsai I'm adjusting it to be generous, but just enough so you don't do this: youtu.be/OiDx6aQ928o?si… Also, from my testing, quick sprints to evade homing missiles are REALLY satisfying.

In general, the goal is to have multiple panic buttons at your disposal so you can go ham on enemies in short intervals. Also, to make overall exploration more fun.

I wanted the bosses and encounters to have a little more strategy, so dashing, sprinting and divebombing will consume stamina. It's meant to refill quickly, while also preventing you from spamming the dash button. Of course, there will be upgrades!

One last skill in the moveset: Jet Dashing. Used more for travel rather than combat, and maybe some racing. Added braking and accelerating, but make sure you don't crash! #gamedev #indiegame #megaman #adamantheart
