31 Touchdowns in 31 days. Every day in May I will post a Caleb Williams touchdown from the 2025 regular season. TD #4: 6-yard pass to Rome Odunze. Caleb has 1,009 passing yards and 9 TDs vs. the Lions in his career, his most against any team in the NFL.

I don't really agree with that surmising of Goff. While he doesn't possess athleticism like modern QB's and is limited in arm strength he is an ideal pocket/rhythm passer and probably the most accurate QB when throwing between 1-15 yards. I think using QB's surroundings against them is an disengenious argument at best. It's the coaching staff's job to make the QB's job as easy as possible. Not saying that's what you're doing because I know you're using it as an example, but there's been plenty of bad QB's who have failed in good situations. At the end of the day the talent still needs to be there to execute with those weapons and surroundings.

It's a shame Ben had no input on what QB to work with. Wait.. I'm being told Williams and Maye were drafted the year before Ben Johnson was a head coach, and Ben interviewed with both the Bears and Patriots, so he had a choice on where to go and went to Chicago? Weird!

What do you mean expect more? He essentially played the position in a way he's never had to in his entire football career: under center while relearning his footwork by having his left foot forward for the first time in his football career. His general accuracy suffered but improved steadily over the season. Despite that he was top 10 in production in yards, TD's, epa/db, explosive plays, and was 11th on ANY/A. With marked improvements across the board from 2024 to 2025. I'd say being a top 10 QB in terms of production is more than enough after he essentially had a throw away rookie year working with 2 HC's, 3 OC's, and functionally one of the worst OL's in the league.
