Today, we, at aiSight.ai, kicked off one of the most impactful projects using our retail data. We track over 800,000 FMCG retailers in Pakistan for our FMCG clients. But over 90% of these retailers still operate on cash. Today, we partnered with JazzCash to leverage our data and field teams to digitise the payments of these retailers by deploying QR-codes on these merchants. Jazz's leadership has shown great vision to lead this project -- which will result in digitising the $60 Billion FMCG retail market in Pakistan.

🛑 Weather on the Way: A New Era of Climate-Smart Travel WeatherWalay, in partnership with ONE Network, is setting a global benchmark in climate-smart road safety through the launch of Weather on the Way (WOW), redefining how Pakistan travels in an era of climate uncertainty. Leading the opening remarks at this launch event is Maj. Gen. Fida Hussain Malik (R), Special Advisor, Global Think Tank on Climate Change and SDGs – International Parliamentarians’ Congress (IPC), and Chairman, Green Climate Alliance. His address will set the context for why anticipatory, data-driven systems like WOW are essential for safeguarding lives and strengthening national resilience. He will also reflect on how a bold idea evolved into real-world impact, bringing together WeatherWalay and ONE Network to move from concept to execution, transforming road safety, logistics, and everyday travel across Pakistan. This is where innovation meets action, and where climate intelligence becomes a system that protects lives at scale. Together, we are not just improving travel, we are redefining it. #GlobalBenchmark #ClimateSmartMobility #WeatherIntelligence #RoadSafety #ClimateResilience #MajGenFidaHussainMalik

Americans and Israelis botch it again: they bombed Natanz. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps does not think about retaliation the way a conventional military institution does. Its doctrine is built around the concept of strategic patience combined with disproportionate asymmetric escalation. A strike on Natanz would activate response protocols that the IRGC has been war-gaming and pre-positioning for since at least 2006, when American strike planning against Iran's nuclear programme first became a serious operational consideration within the Pentagon. The IRGC response would unfold across several simultaneous theatres, calibrated to impose maximum cost without crossing thresholds that would trigger an American conventional war of annihilation against the Iranian state itself. That distinction matters enormously to Tehran's strategists. The objective of the IRGC response would not be to win a war against the United States. It would be to make the price of the strike so high, politically, economically, and in blood, that no subsequent American administration would contemplate a repeat action.

The employment of Iranian intercontinental ballistic missiles against Naval Support Facility Diego Garcia would constitute the most consequential single kinetic action in the current conflict and potentially the most significant strike against a US military installation in the post-World War II era. Diego Garcia, positioned at 7.32 degrees South, 72.42 degrees East in the British Indian Ocean Territory, serves as the primary forward basing platform for USAF B-2 Spirit long-range strike operations, USN Submarine Tender operations, and pre-positioned maritime logistics supporting all US power projection east of Suez. Destruction or suppression of NSF Diego Garcia would not degrade US combat power at the margins. It would sever the logistical and strategic backbone underpinning the entire US operational posture from the Persian Gulf to the Western Pacific. Iran fields two ballistic missile systems assessed as capable of reaching Diego Garcia from Iranian national territory. The Khorramshahr-4 (Kheibar) carries a reported range in excess of 2,000 kilometers and is assessed by US CENTCOM and IAEA monitoring bodies as capable of delivering conventional or chemical payloads in a Multiple Reentry Vehicle configuration. The Sejjil-2 is a two-stage solid-fuel ballistic missile with an assessed range exceeding 2,500 kilometers, and its solid-fuel propulsion eliminates the pre-launch fueling window that historically provided targeting indicators. Neither system requires extended preparation signatures detectable by standard SIGINT platforms. Diego Garcia lies approximately 3,200 kilometers from the nearest Iranian launch complex in Khuzestan Province. This figure places it at the outer edge of Sejjil-2 operational range and within the assessed range of extended Khorramshahr-4 variants. Iranian state media and IRGC official channels have explicitly threatened Diego Garcia by name on multiple occasions during the current conflict. On Day 19, IRGC Aerospace Force Commander Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh stated that US bases "wherever they are located" are within Iranian targeting calculus. An IRGC ICBM salvo against Diego Garcia would most likely employ a minimum of four to six reentry vehicles across a compressed time-over-target window of less than three minutes to saturate the THAAD battery and AEGIS Ashore systems assessed as currently deployed at the installation. Flight profile: Missiles launched from hardened silos in Isfahan, Semnan, or the Dezful complex would achieve apogee altitudes exceeding 800 kilometres, with terminal reentry velocities between Mach 17 and Mach 22. Total flight time from central Iranian launch sites to impact at Diego Garcia is estimated at 18 to 22 minutes. This window provides insufficient reaction time for B-2 alert aircraft to exit the threat envelope. Aircraft not already airborne at the moment of launch warning would be destroyed on the ground. Intercept probability: THAAD engagement success rates against Iranian MRV configurations are not publicly confirmed. US missile defence doctrine does not claim 100 percent intercept probability against saturation salvoes. A four-missile salvo arriving within a 60-second window would present a terminal defence problem that no currently deployed system at Diego Garcia is confirmed capable of defeating with certainty. The destruction of NSF Diego Garcia would produce the following immediate and second-order effects directly relevant to aviation operations. The Cape of Good Hope routing presently designated as mandatory contingency would transition to the sole viable long-haul alternative for all Europe to Asia traffic with immediate effect, as the B-2 strike campaign that has been partially suppressing IRGC anti-aircraft systems would cease. The Houthi strategic pause assessed as Iranian-coordinated would likely terminate within 24 hours of a confirmed Diego Garcia strike, as Iran would assess US conventional strike capability as sufficiently degraded to reduce the risk of retaliation. Simultaneous Red Sea closure and accelerated conflict duration would drive jet fuel surcharges above 400 percent of pre-war indices on all Gulf-adjacent and Indian Ocean routing. The loss of Diego Garcia as a US basing asset would materially change the US escalation posture. Without the B-2 component, the US would face a choice between accepting strategic stalemate or escalating to systems and munitions with significantly higher collateral risk profiles. This decision would be made under domestic economic pressure (Brent above USD 130 per barrel following any Kharg Island strike) and Congressional scrutiny over the USD 200 billion supplemental request.

🇵🇰 Brilliant strategy as always. Let’s not raise fuel prices… Let’s just quietly print money, torch the currency, and make everything—from food to rent—more expensive for the poor. Genius. Only ~6 million cars in a country of 240 million. So naturally… let’s subsidize fuel for the rich who actually own them. Equality at its finest. Why target the people consuming the fuel when you can spread the pain across the entire economy instead? And conservation? Why would anyone use less fuel if it’s artificially cheap? That would make too much sense. But sure, let’s run it back. 2022-23 was clearly such a great success. What could possibly go wrong this time?

A former British special forces officer has told an inquiry that senior SAS commanders covered up unlawful killings in Afghanistan, including the shooting of two toddlers as they slept beside their parents during a 2012 raid. According to the whistleblower, the two children, Imran and Bilal, were shot in their bed next to their parents, while their parents, Hussain Uzabakzai and Ruqquia Haleem, were also killed. The incident is one of as many as 80 unlawful summary executions carried out by SAS forces against Afghan civilians between 2010 and 2013.

In Pakistan, the last date for filing income tax returns was 31st October. It’s been almost one months and 5 days now (almost 5 weeks)— but let’s be honest: nobody has received an automatic tax refund and obviously nobody will. Because in Pakistan, refunds are NOT automatic. Even if your tax return shows a clear refundable amount, you still have to: • file a separate refund application • run after the FBR office • face unnecessary delays, objections, and “stupidities” • and in many cases… deal with demand for bribes just to get your own money back This is the exact opposite of what happens internationally. In the USA, UK, India, Singapore, etc., refunds are fully automatic. Once you file your return, the system processes it and, if any amount is refundable, it is directly deposited into your bank account within 5–6 weeks. No applications. No officers. No bribes. No running around. This is why taxpayers in those countries trust the system. The state respects the taxpayer. When will Pakistan reach this basic level of transparency and automation? Real reforms are not squeezing existing taxpayers again and again. Real reforms are building systems where taxpayers are treated fairly, refunds are automatic, and people actually feel that paying tax leads to something positive. Someone needs to tell the Chairman FBR that reforms don’t mean burdening the same taxpayers like salaried class — Reforms mean fixing the system.
