We listened, we learned, we laughed- And we did it together! It’s safe to say that this year’s “Back to School” (our annual learning event for staff, professional staff, volunteers and learners) was a success! We heard inspiring and gut wrenching life stories that taught us how to unlock our potential, be seen, be heard, and be intentional. This is not a skill you learn overnight It’s a life lesson that you commit to practicing daily. I started saying no to small, easy things before I felt brave enough to tackle bigger challenges. I hope this convo will encourage you to start prioritizing your needs before others.

I haven’t started therapy yet, but 2 books that have helped me work on setting boundaries and do some much-needed inner work are: 📚 “Set Boundaries Find Peace” and the workbook by @nedratawwab 📚 “How To Meet Your Self” by @Theholisticpsyc I even got copies for my friends

You can and should say NO. Let that sink in. Glad we had this chat on @thesocialctv b/c talking about personal development is MY JAM. I encourage you to watch the whole clip on YouTube b/c @melissagrelo made some great points about why women struggle to say no in the workforce.
