@tantaman is the Zero ivm implementation entirely distinct from the DBSP paper, or is it inspired by that paper with practical engineering differences?
I think our approach to ivm has never been done before. The memory usage of the incremental query is proportional to the amount of rows scanned when running the non incremental version of that query.
If indices cause fewer rows to be scanned in the non incremental case, the incremental query uses that much less memory.
