@markessien Excellent move! This will drastically improve overall understanding of concepts for students and encourage teachers to develop methods for understanding and retention rather than memorizing. Kudos and good luck Mark

After a conversation with my mum, I'm planning to do something new with the school - we are going to ban the habit teachers have of writing notes on the board. No more notes, 100%.

If you're not dealing with Moniepoint, Opay, Piggyvest, or Flutterwave & Paystack, a significant number of Fintech companies in Nigeria aren't worth touching with a 10-foot pole. Just this week, we decided to close our @BujetiHQ account and stick to Moniepoint for peace of mind.

PENGASSAN openly threatened to close down Dangote refinery. To put into proper context, PENGASSAN’s first response to an industrial dispute was not dialogue but threatening to CLOSE down a $20billion investment. Yet, Dangote is somehow supposed to keep those same people on his payroll and trust them with his investment. lol It’s either people are not completely honest here or they never really risked it all on a business.

@Omojuwa I'm not sure if it applies in Nigeria but a good part of it is because corporations are legally required to prioritize maximizing shareholders return on a foundational level.

I am the wrong person to ask when it comes to government being involved with what the private sector ought to be doing. There is a reason Nigeria’s refineries have mostly not worked for the past 2 generations or so. Even when they drain the budget of millions of dollars every year. There is a reason the Ajaokuta Steel Company has mostly never worked whilst swallowing hundreds of billions of naira over the decades. There is a reason Ntel and NITEL died whilst MTN thrived and Globacom is profitable. If your answer is corruption. That’s not a bad answer. It’s like someone saying the reason Nigeria hasn’t fixed power is due to a lack of leadership. It’s not a wrong answer but it’s the sort you will get in a beer parlour or newspaper stand. Can you give a reason that isn’t pedestrian? One that reflects the fact that you know how economies work and why the United States continues to be the world’s capital of Capital and technological innovation?

As a son of an entrepreneur and a 3x funded entrepreneur myself, I have had this drilled into me from as far back as I can remember. To all those who invested in me, whether with their money, their network, or encouraging words, I appreciate and cherish you all

Make sure whatever you do, you don't let them down. It's okay for a business venture to fail, it happens all the time. But you as a person, should never fail them! Not with a lie, not with concealing the truth, and definitely not with lack of trust.

@el_bonga I agree with power as well, the domino effect attached to it and the the term coverage (immediate, medium-term, and long-term) of it's benefits puts it over other strong contenders like education, security etc.

@frenziedprophet You need BRICS more than they need you. You cannot survive alone in a multipolar world and to think the West will put any importance on you while they're fighting for survival is delusional. Any & everyone is replaceable!
