My first highlighted game of Day 2 of the Grassroots Showcase by @hoopseen set the tone in a big way with a heavyweight clash between @2026Ambition MHC and the @TigersTennessee 16U. This one had history, intensity, and two squads that knew exactly what they were walking into. From the opening tip, it turned into a gritty, hard-nosed battle where every possession mattered and nothing came easy. Defense was tight, physical, and relentless on both sides, while buckets had to be earned the hard way. At the break, it was as tight as it gets, 23-21, with the Tigers clinging to a razor-thin edge. The second half only cranked the pressure higher. Every trip down the floor felt like it could swing the game, and neither side showed any signs of backing down. Ambition found a way to grab momentum late, flipping the script and taking control in the closing stretch. What followed was a straight-up war of wills, possession after possession, stop after stop, clutch moment after clutch moment. With seconds ticking away, the Tigers were forced to foul to extend the game, and Ambition stepped up and knocked down free throws under pressure to take a 48-45 lead with just 5 seconds left. One last shot. One last chance. The ball found “The Microwave” @colejamonett24, who had been heating up all game long. He rose up as the buzzer sounded, letting it fly with everything on the line. The shot looked pure… but it caught rim and bounced out, sealing a hard-fought 48-45 win for Kentucky Ambition in one of the most intense battles of the day. @iamkyebowen led the charge for Ambition with 13 points, 3 steals, and 2 rebounds, making big-time plays on both ends when it mattered most. Teammate #15 @braylongarr added 9 points, 9 rebounds, and a steal, bringing toughness and presence inside. @colejamonett24 was electric for the Tigers, pouring in 20 points with 5 rebounds and 2 steals, putting constant pressure on the defense and keeping his team right there until the final horn. He was cooking from start to finish and nearly delivered a walk-off moment.

In the 16U division, KY Ambition outlast the Tennessee Tigers this morning, 48-45. Kye Bowen scored 13 points in the win. Skilled guard that can shoot it from outside.
