@BigSascha Being emotional because things matter js not a weakness or a fault. It is part of basic human behavior. People feel and express things differently. Mean people should leave her and others alone!

Everybody who’s shitting on Mirra, a 19 year old girl for crying after loosing the finals clearly never dedicated his or her whole life towards one thing. Never played any competitive sports and clearly doesn’t understand the concept of giving it your all but still getting beaten

College tennis programs are being decimated. In February 2025, a certain former Stanford tennis player wrote this article against the House settlement warning how long before schools will start eliminating tennis programs. “Make no mistake—it will happen.” Sadly, too fast.

@rennaestubbs @aligarros Same Rennae except 1st round main draw pays nicely for an up and coming player. That $$ means a lot for training, travel and living. But Venus has been a good advocate for $$. Saw Venus in Miami. She should play as long as she wants to!

@aligarros 100% disagree. Shes earned the right to play whenever she wants, wherever she is asked & giving that opportunity. Younger players can play smaller events an earn their way on the tour IF they are good enough. If u think 1 chance is making or breaking a player, u dont get the tour

imagine being an upcoming player and losing an WC opportunity that could literally change your life and ignite your career because a retired player treats professional tennis as if it was a country club or an exho instead of a serious competitive sport people make livings out of

Venus Williams says in her press conference that she wants to play Roland Garros. “My husband is Italian, I would love to play Rome as well but that won’t be possible.” Rome gave all the wild cards to Italian players.

@PatrickMcEnroe I heard a podcast a few years ago and a NCAA coach was asked about the number of foreign students playing D1 over US students and his answer (paraphrased) was Americans can play college tennis. It’s called D3…

Just re checked the numbers—ACC + SEC men’s team finals: 24 singles players… 3 Americans…HELLO??!! That’s a system that’s lost its balance. College sports used to DEVELOP American athletes. Now it’s short-term wins, global recruiting, and no structure. If American players don’t have this pathway anymore, where do they go? I’ll be talking about it tonight on Newsmax with Greg Kelly (9:40pm ET).

Both guys struggling playing with the wind so far….you need to play with more patience and much higher margin for error when it’s like this.. the one who recognises this and adjusts quickest will win..

@AmyLundyDahl I think it will also will help her absorb and redirect pace. And to your point (moving up the kinetic chain) will allow her to hit thru the ball.
